I weigh 130 and am considering getting a 2000 z2 atom 80. Would the stock springs be ok for me or would I need to get new? How much would they cost? Thanks.

The Atom will probably come with a hard spring and you will need a softer one (the dual rate soft 80mm). Cost in the USA is $35 to $40 but you can get them cheaper at http://www.ukbikestore.co.uk/acatalog/UK_BIKE_STORE_MARZOCCHI_SPRINGS_35.html

I did buy from them, shipment takes a week ...
Davide is correct, at your weight...Squash

you'd deffinately need to go to the soft springs. The 2000 Z2 Atom 80 came with Medium springs stock. They are rated for 155lb to 180lb riders. Unless you ride very aggressively, the fork would be too stiff for you, you wouln't get full travel, and it would feel harsh on the small stuff. Go with the soft springs. Like Davide said, they'll run you about $35 to $40 US.

I would at least give the stock springs a try first...POG

but you will probably need the lighter ones.

I have a Z2 atom race and weigh 140lbs

With the stock springs I get 8mm (10%) sag on the lightest setting. It performs well like this, even though I am not an agressive rider. I guess if I was any lighter I may need a lighter spring.
