| Marzocchi Z.2 Atom 80 Race....Where's the 80mm? and damping | Bob Dec 20, 2001 4:57 AM | | Hi all,
I received my 2001 Atom 80 race yesterday and noticed that I'm only able to get 62mm of travel out of it. Is this an oil height issue? Or should I expect to get more travel after the fork "breaks in" for a while?
Also the fork seems overdamped. The rebound is very slow, even with the knob set for minimum damping. Could this be an oil height issue as well?
I know this fork gets great reviews, I think mine just needs some tinkering to get it set up. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

Cheque the Marzocchi website for data on the springs and oil levels. |
