2001 Z1 QR20. Worth $250?Jenya

I have an opportunity to purchase a brand new 2001 Z1 QR20. Does it worth $250? What is QR20. I am not familiar with Marzocchi lines.
I am planning to reduce it down to 4'' and put on my Y-22.

hell ya its a good deal...you sure its in one piece?

QR20 is a quick release 20mm axle dropout. So you'll need a 20mm hub and the necessary hardware (depending on the hub). It may or may not come with it.
hmm, that 20 mm axel.Jenya

Is there an adapter or something that will allow me to use this shock with my existing wheels? I was thinking, I could have just cut the axel that came with the shock (by the way, I bought it)flat to the surface of the arms and spin my wheels on the axel that goes inside of the 20mm one. It seems to be the same diameter as the one that I use now.

Another question. Will 4'' kit reduce the distance between the headset seat and the eye of the leg, or just reduce the travle of the fork? This fork is way longer than my existing Judy XC and that will change a geometry of the bike significantly. The front will be jacked up by about 2''.

either swap the axles out alltogether if possible or just make the hub switch. Reducing the travel also reduces the overall height of the fork.

The wide plastic preload knob is probably just sticky at the end of its rotation.

I got it turning, but it was kind of weird. I definitelly couldn't turn it with my fingers even with the strongest intent and force. I also noticed that the nob that works fine is slightly raised off the fork while the dead one had no clearance underneath it. I then decided to losen a tiny alen bolt on the top of the nob. It did the trick. The nobe became spinnable and raised slightly up just like another one. After that I tightened the top alen bolt all the way, which doesn't prevent a nob from spinning.

Strange.

oh and also, why the left plasticky adjuster doesn't spin? (nm)Jenya
