Things to check with Second Hand Xvert Carbons 2001XvertCarbonMan
Dec 20, 2001 5:08 PM
I am just about to buy a set of Xvert Carbons second hand.
What should I check for other than scratches and cracks on the Uppers,
Crowns, Steerer, and Lowers?
I'll also check that the adjustments are having some effect and that the travel is stiction free.
Are there any transport/freight concerns with these forks?
Any general comments on setup or cool mods would be appreciated.
I am 80Kgs, 6'3 and xc/freeride/jump/huck on a Big Hit Comp 2001 (no racing yet).
How far is it safe to lowwer these forks into their crowns?

Thanks in Advance,

Ben

PS: Sorry for the double post (DH/Freeride + Shocks)

Thanks in Advance,

Ben
