| Zokes Zone trouble. | HooKoo Dec 21, 2001 8:36 AM | | My friend's Zokes Zone (read - not Marzocchi) has developed a loud top out noise which wasn't there before. I realise that not many (if any) of you will have experience with this fork but I thought it was worth a shot.
Thanks in advance

| most likely...... | heff® Dec 21, 2001 5:35 PM | | .....it's a worn out or broken topout bumper. I don't have any experience with disassembly, but it should be pretty straightforward. Remove the topcaps, drain any oil, remove the lowers by removing the hex bolts at the bottom of each leg, and pull them off. Then there should be a large (probably 22mm) nut that holds the lower pistons in. The topout bumper will probably be in the right leg, or if it's a cartridge setup with a spring stack in only one leg, it'll be in that leg. Replace it, that should solve the problem.

| or... | zedro Dec 21, 2001 11:08 PM | | a bunked-up rebound damping thingy. I get the same thunk when my oil is too light for my real-zokies |
| Thanks guys... | HooKoo Dec 22, 2001 4:17 AM | | We'll have to give that a try. It's not really that important as he's getting a real Marz soon but it's annoying nonetheless.
"bunked up rebound damping thingy",
is that the technical term zedro? :)
