Has anybody tried the Marzocchi 2002 Atom Race 100?(3 posts)

Has anybody tried the Marzocchi 2002 Atom Race 100?Orthie

I switched frames from a short travel FSR to a Titus Switchblade and installed a 2002 Psylo SL. While the U-Turn feature is great, I find I cannot get the plushness and smoothness from the Psylo the way I had my Marzocchi Atom 80 set. Since I mostly ride in the 4.5" rear setting, I am considering loosing the U-Turn feature if I can get again the smoothness and plushness I had with the Marzocchi. So, I am considering the new Atom 100. Has anybody tried it? Does anybody have any other suggestions for a replacement fork?

Thanks a lot,

Orthie

It is almost as good as the Z1, although I could not resist the idea of an extra 30mm of travel when it came time to choose.

The Atom is the perfect hard-XC fork, and the EEC is worth gold, it makes climbing steep inclines incredibly easy. The rest is pure Marzocchi, still the best suspension after you spend a bit of time setting it up.
Thanks, I think I'll go and get one -nmOrthie
