Im interested in purchasing a Romic Double shock for my 01 Ellsworth Truth. One of the guys who I ride with has one and it feels very nice on that bike. Im running a Stratos Helix Expert right now and it just doesnt seem like its doing the trick. Romic owners...how do you like your ride? Also, is there an online dealer somewhere I can purchase the shock from for cheap? Thanks!
I would recommend itSteve from JH

I switched from a Stratos Helix Expert to a Romic on my '99 Truth. Then recently I traded the '99 for a new '01. The deal was that the new frame came without a shock. So naturally I put the Romic on.

It works really well on both frames. The most striking thing is how amazingly adjustable the compression damper is. You can back the knob all the way out and the bike will bob badly. You can turn it all the way in and there's hardly any movement at all, even with a sloppy pedal stroke.

Somewhere in the twelve click region in between is the spot where you can damp out almost all pedal motion from a regular pedal stroke and still not noticeably compromise small bump compliance.

I bought mine direct from Romic. I don't think there's any way at present to get a deal.
