What would be better, coil or air shocks??? Also why?
Better for what? XC Racing? "Hucking"?AndyH

Both have good and bad points...you need to help us out here with some info. What kind of riding do you do? What do you weigh? Is component weight important to you? etc.

Some frames where specifically designed for one or the other. Air shocks are typically more progressive (spring rate increases as you go farther into the travel). Coils are more linear (contant spring rate). Frame designers often use these properties in combination with rising or falling rate suspensions to acheive a balance.
