| Small supension forks??? | Todd Feb 19, 2002 11:35 AM | | Can anyone help me? I am looking for a company that makes a front suspension fork for a 20" mtn. bike. My 8 yr. old son is really getting into riding with me. He is the best riding partner I have ever had! No whining, and he is fearless! Anyway last summer I bought him a 20" trek mtn. bike. It is set up with a 1 1/8" head set, but I can't seem to find anyone that makes a good suspension fork. I have seen the cheap huffy 20" "mtn. bikes" w/ some junky fork on them, but I would like something a little better quality. Can anyone help? Thanks, Todd |

| i wouldnt bother... | zedro Feb 19, 2002 12:10 PM | | hes gonna grow outta that thing in no time. Also riding a rigid will give him some good skills.
Now if you really want one bad, the only thing i can think of is looking up any BMX component makers, although i seriously doubt you'll find anything. The only other thing would be a dual crown fork as you can adjust the crowns the way you want, but your gonna run at least 4" of travel and the stanchions may be elavated above the handlebars. An older JrT could be a good bet, or maybe an RST (that came on older Giant Warps) but those are a bit junky too |

them are starting to put suspension on their bents.... |
| You can try some bmx catalogs... | ohio Feb 19, 2002 3:42 PM | | ... back in the early days of MTB suspension, a few BMX suspension forks were made. I think the fad soon passed, but there might be some floating around... |
| RST makes a 24" shock, maybe smaller too? (nm) | laffeaux Feb 19, 2002 4:51 PM | | |
| Yes (Were handing out 20"s at Interbike) NM | D.F.L. Feb 20, 2002 11:55 AM | | |
| Ooh ooh, I got an idea... | HooKoo Feb 19, 2002 6:43 PM | | Maybe try getting in contact with Brooklyn Machine Works. I know they made (still make?) full suspension BMX bikes. Not sure if the forks were any good though, they were an inverted design as I recall.
