| Marzocchi ECC Lever just too tiny...Problem Solved!! | John Feb 24, 2002 6:53 AM | | Tired of trying to find the very small Marzocchi lockout lever while riding, even when travelling slow it was a problem. Took just under 2 hours to finish this one out of aluminum rod. Sometimes being a toolmaker really pays off.
This knob JUST barely clears the frame when the fork is turned past the 90 degree mark ( crash conditions ). I'm going to see if any of our club riders who use a Marzocchi will want one this Spring . |

| Ah, pretty darn good ! | John Feb 24, 2002 9:22 AM | | You used a setscrew from the side to hold it to the shaft. I was planning to do that , but opted for milling the bottom of my knob with the same flat pocket that the original lever had, and bolting it through the top with the original screw. Yours is definitely easier to make!!
I like seeing peoples different solutions for the same problem. I just saw a video from Interbike where Fox Racing was displaying their handlebar mounted lockout lever for their rear shock. I bet I could make one out of a cheap V-brake housing, and replace the standard lockout lever on the FLOAT RLC with a pulley similar to what was shown. http://www.viosport.com/mbaction/ |
