Question on Marzocchi "Thru-axle"...mtbr22

Hey, i know this is probably a stupid question, but i'll ask it anyways. Whats the point of a thru-axle on shocks? I'm looking at a 2001 Marzocchi Z3 shock, and i was wondering how your supposed to mount a normal wheel/hub on a fork with this thru-axle. Any info would be great thanks!

Thru-axles simply help to stiffen the fork. In order to use a fork with a 20mm thru-axle you'll need a specific hub, it won't work with a normal hub.

thanks for the info!!mtbr22

my 99 Z1 QR20 came with the Marzocchi hub, when I ordered it, I also had Airbomb build me a wheel.
