| 2001 Z3 COIL- Anyone know what springs they come with?? | lars24 Apr 8, 2002 3:25 PM | | Performance Bike has the '01 Z3's on sale, but before I order one I wanted to find out what springs come stock in them? I weigh between 180-190 and ride cross country...will I need to replace the springs? I'm asking because that's an additional expense of about $40 if I can't sell the stock ones. Also, this is the shock that is internally adjustable from 80mm-100mm and vice versa, correct? I would just need to move the springs around? Thanks |

Its best to respring it the fork for your weight. Im your size and used the heavy compression springs..and OE top out springs in mine with the OE oil weight.
What you do to change travel from 80 to 100mm is drain the oil, drop the lowers, take off the top out springs off the bottom of the push rod, reinsert the compression springs and then add the top out springs to the top of the spring stack. |
