Quick Question(3 posts)

Ok after looking at a previous post i made, i have decided to buy a RockShox Duke fork, now i am trying to decide if the higher end models of the duke are really worth it, example, i can purchase the duke xc for about 30 less than the sl, and the duke race is 10 more than the sl, would you guys say it is worth it to fork out the extra dough for the SL or Race or just stick with the XC? I really only ride moderate to hard trails, i dont do jumps if it is not neccesary, probably the biggest drop i would go off would be 1.5-2 feet.

So you can get the Duke Race for $40 more than the XC? personally, I would get it, the Race has some nice features. If you need some other parts, and could use the extra cash, I rode a duke XC for a while (decided to go with 4"). And its a great fork.

Kutart,
Funny, I did the same thing. Looked at Shocks based on performance/$$, and narrowed it down to the Duke Race or SL. Still can't decide yet. Supergo/Jenson have them for 239/229 Race & 199/219 for SL, both 80mm. I called Supergo, and they said the UNblemished RS shocks ship with an air pump, and both are in stock. Is this true? I checked Jenson web and the Race will be in stock 4/24. Maybe I will decide by then. Good luck
