Best way to soften a 2000 Manitou SX??PBK

I bought a 2000 SX (80 mm) for my girlfriends hardtail, but the stock (orange) spring and the blue elastomer isn't responsive enough for her 128 lbs. fully geared, even with the preload set fully out. Is there a softer coil for this fork (my lbs. didn't find one in their catalogue) or is my only option to get a green 2" elastomer?
There is a soft ride kit for the SX...Squash

Try shopping at another LBS. They are available and don't cost that much $25 to $30 for the full kit. Don't get just the elastomer, get the whole kit, which includes a soft coil. At her weight your girl friend may need both to make the fork perform correctly. The set up currently in the fork is for a 150 to 180lb rider. Get the full soft kit, it should come with a blue (soft) coil spring, and 2 elastomers, 1 green (super soft) and one blue (soft). That way you can mix and match to suit her taste and correctly set sag. If you can't find an LBS with a supplier that lists the parts then give Manitou a call. They may be able to give you the name of a shop that can help you out. Or depending on their mood they may help you out directly.

Good Dirt
Thanx for good response! nmPBK
