Stupid Marzocchi air fork adapter!!(5 posts)

Stupid Marzocchi air fork adapter!!John

My high pressure pump and my low pressure pump are inaccurate. AND the Marzocchi air adapter requires for me to keep the adapter connected to the pump while unscrewing it from the fork, because Marzocchi cheaped out and didn't put a valve into the adapter. So I can't tell exactly how much air is in the fork.
SO to Sears I went, and bought some car tire valve extenders. $3.19 for 4. I screwed the extender into the adapter and I have a good way of using my bike pump to fill the fork, then use my digital gage to bleed it accurately.. Then just unscrew the adapter with the extender connected. No air loss!!..
I am suprised no one else has complained about the adapter, it really stinks. Marzocchi should have put some nice top caps on the fork tubes with integrated schrader valves, and not this adapter BS.

Thanks for the idea, I just got an X-fly and was wondering how the adapter was going to work for bleeding. I think they did it so you would have to buy the Marz. pump that is "accurate" at low psi.
Thanks, that extender should work with my accu-fill (nm)wfl3

I was just about to buy a Mar fork pump (until i read this)..... so do you reckon with the valve extender and a regular gauge you would be better off not buying the fork pump at all, and just use your regular pump with the adaptor and extender instead????
