| How much should it cost to get oil seals replaced? Z1-CR | menachite Jun 4, 2002 7:43 AM | | Just wondering if anyone has had a shop do it for them and how much it cost. The upper oil seals are toast and I would assume that the lower ones and the slideer bushings should be replaced too.
Thanks...

| I would enquire about having Marzocchi do it | kristian Jun 4, 2002 7:57 AM | | I think they used to charge $60--I have no idea if that's still valid though. I sent my blown z1 back to them while I was still on Grassroots and they did a fantastic job with it. It rode just like a brand new fork when they were done with it.
Marzocchis are a lot more common now so this shouldn't be a problem, but a local shop mangled my old 97 z2 pretty good a few years ago on a seal replacement. Since then, I haven't let anyone other than Marzocchi (or myself) touch my forks. |

USUALLY I THINK MARZOCCHI GETS AROUND $75-$85 PLUS S&H. I USE TO FREELANCE ON THE SIDE AND CHARGED $50-$60 FOR ALL SEALS AND OIL, INSTALLED. |
| $40 is a GREAT deal... | ohio Jun 5, 2002 12:01 PM | | the seals and wiper kit runs about $40 retail, figure in an oil change and labor and the total at a friendly shop should run about $60. $75 wouldn't be unreasonable. More than that is a bit of a ripoff IMO. |
