Anyone own this fork or know much about it? I have always concluded it was very stiff for a lightweight fork, but being all air it was not all that plush. Sounds like a good race fork. I can't tell if it is still made...K2 owns Noleen, and they are not specing this fork on any of their 2002 bikes, but they did in 2001. Any input? Anyone....anyone?

No it's not being made anymore but they can be found reasonably easily on the used market.

They are just as you say. Light, stiff, not all that plush and very tough, perhaps the first XC fork with 32mm stanchions. Very easy to maintain with o-rings you can get at your local hardware store. I use mine over jumps and small drops all the time and it's holding up just fine.

There were at least two versions of the fork and you want the 2001 model only. This model has WTB grease ports on the back of the legs. Also a simple modification to switch from 75 to 100mm. I use the 100mm setting and a lower psi and as you'd expect, it is much more plush.

If you go with this fork, check this message board for all the tech info you'll need, such as varying the psi in each leg to affect rebound characteristics.

I had mine for about months and had one of the stachions backing out of the crown and it was leaking pretty bad. I got it warrantied and sold the new one. I don't think anyone make a lighter and stiffer 100mm fork though. Check the reviews...
