Can't wait to install it when I get home.
Cane Creek got it to me 2 day earlier than expected.
Total price using upgrade program, $236
I'll post a review after I hit the trails this weekend.

Installed the new Cloud Nine last night.
Bolted right up. No hassles what so ever.
WOW!!! What a difference. It totally changed the way my bike rides. Allot more responsive and smooth as butter.
The best part is it added 1 1/2 inches of travel to the rear of my bike (Mongoose VRS 3.0).
I still have to dail it in on the trails this weekend, but this is one awesome shock.
Please give it at least a month before posting a review...næstep

I tried to hunt down a review that was posted recently — I forget what component it was for — where the guy raves on and on about some new do-dad he installed on his bike, how great it is, how wonderful it looks, and what a great upgrade it was.

He finished the review with something like, I can't wait to get it out and ride it this weekend!

I'm curious how much improvment can be felt changing from the stock Fox Float (plain) on my 01 Adept Comp...

If you have just the plain Fox Float R you can't make any adjustment other than air pressure.
The Cloud Nine lets you control compression and dampening with 18 clicks of adjustment each. You also have a RCA button (Rapid Compression Adjustment) which takes the shock to the maximum compression setting. It's not a lockout but pretty close.
You can definetly tell a difference with it engaged.
Plus you can rebuild it yourself for $12.00.

My reply was for "sp" not MongooseManshiggy

"sp" seems to get his kicks from nit-picking minor spelling errors. I have no problem with you MongooseMan.
Sorry, was having a bad day. Shouldn't off went off like that.MongooseMan
