How do I convert Z.2 Atom Sport from air to coil?(2 posts)

How do I convert Z.2 Atom Sport from air to coil?singleminded

I've got a 2001 Marzocchi Z.2 Atom Sport (OEM fork), with 80-mm travel and a low-pressure air spring in each leg.

How would I convert this fork to coil only?

And if I did, would it be essentially the same as a 2001 Z.2 Atom Race? (steerer, crown, arch, lowers etc. look the same on both forks. I'm guessing that the forks are the same, but Marzocchi did an air-spring version for the OEM market to reduce showroom weight...)

Any help would be much appreciated!

all u would need to do is track down a coild conversion kit with 80mm springs (most are for 100 mm springs) or you could buy the 80mm springs and top caps seprately (you would need differnt top caps because they have the ability to alter the preload, try ukbikestore.co.uk or contact the marzocchi importers windwave at windwave.co.uk
