are simple, only problem is the spring is so stiff I can't push it down enough to get the cap threaded. Any advice on how to do this?

Aug 9, 2002 2:50 AM | | all the way? If you needed the heavier spring I am assuming that you had the preload set rather high on the softer set up that you are replacing. If you didn't back the preload adjustment off all the way it will cause the adjuster in the cap to make contact with the spring before the cap threads can make contact with the threads in the crown. Try turning the preload adjuster fully counter clock wise and then try installing the cap. Also set your travel to max.
