Fox Vanilla RLC spring rate instructions make no sense? HELPTickTock

I have a brand new fox vanilla rlc. I am currently adjusting sag. I weigh 140 pounds. at 125mm they suggest one full inch of sag. I am only getting half that with the preload all the way counterclockwise. Now when I follow the chart on their manual it says that If my sag is too low i should INCREASE the spring rate. It seems to me a stiffer spring would make the sag even less, wouldnt it? The fork came with two more sets of springs. The stock spring is blue, and is 25lb/ft. It also came with a purple, which is 18lb/ft and a green which is 35lb/ft and is much stiffer than the others. Now following the manual it is suggesting I put the STIFFER spring in to give me more sag. That seems logically wrong. If i need more sag that means I weigh less than the spring is intended, right? and that means I need the lighter spring, right?

Tell me I am not crazy and that the manual is wrong pls. I feel like a moron.

Yeah As i read closely, its just horribly worded. It says if the sag is too low, increase spring rate. By low they mean that the fork sags TOO much. Its horrid wording since the previous paragraph tells you to "measure" the sag. Too "low" lag must mean that your sag measurement is "higher".

Either way tomorrow I am going to swap in the lighter spring and then itll be nice and plush. Sweet fork.

Thanks for letting me know that I am not losing my mind.
