Stupid Rear Shock ?Erich

I have a 2001 Mongoose Failane with a Rock Shox Sid XC. I want to switch to a rear shock with more travel. Can it be done? If it can, any suggestions help, please. I know ideally I should just by a freeride bike, but thats just not going to happen. Thanks for your help.

Rear travel is determined more by your frame design than the actual shock. Yeah, you might gain a few micrometers of travel with different shocks but you're still basically limited by the frame.

Get a Stratos Helix Expert shock. It has more stroke (shaft travel) Nice shok after they fixes mine. I got 600lb spring on my Diamond Back X-link and it also has air back up for bottoming. I weight 155lbs, way better than stock RS . Imp. to make sure the shox doesnt bind when you install, its on their webby.
