Z1 freeride springs and oil height help needed(5 posts)

Z1 freeride springs and oil height help neededced
Aug 12, 2002 6:40 AM
I wanted to replace the stock springs in my z1 freeride 2002 and check the oil height. Should be fairly basic except marzocchi does not provide a detailed manual (with the fork or online). So without any written instructions, I pulled the 21mm caps off the top of the left leg (ecc side) and found the ecc rod with a nut on the top. Started to remove this nut and the whole rod was spinning. Since I could not see exactly what I was doing (and could not see the springs or oil), I stopped. Does anyone have a detailed service manual, or can help me conduct this task? Thanks. Conor

There is a tech manual on their website....
http://www.marzocchimtb.com/tech-tuning/index.html
click on the link, then click on "download tech info" and find your fork on the list.

Thanks for the new link. The marzocchi web page I was going to did not have this PDF manual. The old manual I had did not have any detail and only gave some spring numbers and oil height specs. The new link gave me exactly what I was looking for.

Thanks, Conor
