Pyslo travel adjustment, even for pure air race? (5 posts)
| Pyslo travel adjustment, even for pure air race? | striker Oct 17, 2002 2:26 AM | | REad in the latest MTB Action that Rockshox is unvailing a retro kit for Pyslo for U-TURN, including the Race. Is this true? Does it wipe out the Air for a spring?\\
Anyone know about it? |
| Turns it into coil. | TNC Oct 17, 2002 10:51 AM | | RS doesn't have an on the fly Psylo air fork travel adjustment capability. The U-Turn kit basically turns your Race into an SL, though the '03 Psylo Race is coil sprung--only difference to the SL is a remote lockout lever on the handlebar. It doesn't look like there is an air Psylo for '03. That's a shame, it was a good fork. I've got 2 of 'em that I'm definitely keeping. |
| RS website says the 03 Psylo has PURE damping | striker Oct 18, 2002 12:11 AM | | Are you sure about the ,03? I love my 02 Race but would love to drop it down to 80mm for the monster climbs.
I have a line into Speedgoat to see if this is true but I don't think they know what I want. |
| So did the 01 and 02 SL and Race | Cosmo Oct 18, 2002 5:12 AM | | PURE damping has nothing to do with the adjustable travel-it's the damper! The U-Turn is a coil spring system that allows for the adjustable travel. All Psylo SL and Race models use PURE damping. |
| Exactly. | TNC Oct 18, 2002 11:11 AM | | U-Turn refers only to the spring side of the Psylo--a Race is air and the SL & XC are coil spring on '02's. The Pure refers to the damper mechanism in the other leg--the '02 Race and SL have it and the XC did not. |
