help with z3 air settings!professor frink

The zoch manual, which looks like they had one of those organ grinder monkeys translate it, suggest, I think, 30 lbs of air for a rider under 150 lbs. Can this be right? It's a 2001 z3 air that came stock on the 2001 sugar 3.

I find marzocchi always recommends too much pressure and too high an oil height. I'm 200 lbs and use 33lb and 45mm oil height but it depends on how much weight your position puts onto the fork and how you ride. i would recommend changing the oil height to 45mm from the top( to do this: take off the top caps and compress the fork fully. measure the height of the top of the oil and remove enough to get 45 mm to the top of the stanchion in air space) then start around 28psi and move in 1psi increments until you get the proper sag. unless you jump off stuff with your sugar (not recommended) then try the 40mm oil height and more psi.
