01 Z3 Coil 100, Decrease travel after oil change............PJD

first oil change on fork. I routinely get about 85-90mm travel on my rides. I change oil for the first time. I can't physically depress the fork more than 80mm.

I double checked the oil height, it's as specified by Marz. I took a little out, thinking it might be hydraulic lock (like what happened to my Forx Vanilla 100R), that helped a little bit, I can depress it to 90mm now.

But I'm not sure if I should ride the fork with low oil, or if there is something else I need to do.

I've torn down an rebuilt my other Z2 and previous Z3, and have never have this problem.

Any input would be great.

TIA

oil too high...TC

The recommended oil levels of 35-40mm seem way to high for me to get full travel and i weigh 200lbs. i use 45 mm with no problems at all. this is the same level i use in my '01 Xfly100 and '01 Z3 air. as long as the level is over the rebound damping intake ( and 45mm is above that level) there should be no problems.
