Lube for wipers/stanchions?(2 posts)

Lube for wipers/stanchions?metricEee

Hey all,
I was just wondering what people were using to lube their wipers/stanchions? I've tried some teflon fortified lubes, but they always end up leaving a mess and increasing stiction after awhile. I've found that a few drops of fork oil seems to work the best, but I was just wondering if anyone has found anything better.
A little silicon spary also works well...Squash

it's available at most auto parts stores. But be consious of what the manufaturer of your fork recommends. I know Marzocchi recommends silcon, Rock Shox recommends teflon based oil, and Manitou used to recommend the teflon oil, I don't know if they still do. Anyway, a light shot of silicon spray has always kept my forks working smoothly.
