Hey, I'm finally getting back into riding after a LOOOONG absense. My question is... What do I need to get my shocks firmer? I weigh alot more now than I did when i rode alot and now, the front shocks are way too soft for my taste. My bike is a VooDoo Bokor with a Rock Shox Judy XC Cartridge System fork. I can't remember the year but it was the late 90s (I wanna say I bought it summer of 97 or 98). A friend of mine that works in the bike dept (I work at a sporting goods store) said I needed to look into some MountainSpeed springs and get the stiffest they offer. The store I work for doesn't carry them and can't order them. Any help or direction would be appreciated.

The stock springs are probably for the 140-180 lbs range. If you're within that range, they should work fine. If you feel they're too soft, just dial in more preload. Turn those knobs on the top of your fork clockwise for more, and counter for less if I remember correctly.

If you need stiffer springs, www.cambria.com has them. Or go to a local bike shop.

Thanks for the link. I weigh around 250 right now (I'm 6'6" so I don't look like I weigh as much as I do) but I am starting to get in a workout routine and changed my diet so I should be getting back down to what I was when I first got my bike (around 180-200)
