Is it me, or are RS forks aren't that durable? (more) (4 posts)
| Is it me, or are RS forks aren't that durable? (more) | A1 Alloy Oct 20, 2002 8:47 AM | | My friend has an '01 Judy SL on his GT I-Drive and it has had some problems such as loose bushings and such. I've been reading the forums and have heard many complaints about RS forks. As far as MAnitou, I hear a few now and then not like RS. Marz or Fox looks like kings of long term durability, not to mention stiffness (even though Fox has been doing forks for a year or two--they seem to be kickin RS a$$ and RS has been doing forks for like a decade!!). Maybe its me but it looks like I'll stay away from RS and go for Marz or Fox. Nobody does it better than the Italians!! So whadya'll think? |
| I agree | Chip73 Oct 20, 2002 9:59 AM | | I also have an 01 Judy SL. I have only about 500 miles on it but it is starting to show loose bushings and play. Once I got used to my new bike and turned up the heat alittle the fork turned to crap. I have read though that RS has fixed most of the problems for 02 and even more for 03. |

Only had 12-15 rides on it. Pretty pathetic... |
| RS mfg is moving to Tiawan in 2004 | Jimmy Hoffa Oct 22, 2002 10:15 AM | | Rock Shox must be having some real problems. They just moved from California to Colorado to cut expenses last year, now they are headed to Tiawan after being bought out (bailed out) by Sram. I wonder where they will be in 2005? |
