00 sid xc lowers on 01 sid sl? (2 posts)
| 00 sid xc lowers on 01 sid sl? | bad-brad Oct 22, 2002 9:09 AM | | i've got a sid sl on my superlight and a 00 sid xc on my ss. i'm getting ready to switch to discs and want a stiffer fork. i've heard that you could swap the lowers but i'm curious as to what bushings/seals to use and any change in the volume of oil necessary. or i might just buy a skareb - anybody ride one of those yet?
thanx

| yep. | mtbikerTi Oct 22, 2002 12:43 PM | | All seals and bushings should be the same, though in 2001 RS had problems with bushings wearing out fast, so you may want to have them replaced. Check angryasian.com for more info.
