the 2003's are supposed to be 12% or 15% ( can't remember) stiffer because of the new legs, and I was reading an article, and they said its the stiffest sid yet.

I can't answer your question as I have not ridden either of those forks, but the 2000 SID XC's used Judy style lowers, which offer more stiffness than a typical SID lower.

I'm in the same boat. I have a 2000 SIX XC on my Klein hardtail and am looking at buying FS and the bike I am looking at comes with the F80 RLT and the LBS is willing to swap it out for an '03 SID Team. My weight fluctuates from 150-160 and I have been very happy with my SID XC and have never really noticed the flexiness everyone else complains about. Maybe the plushness I see in this fork could be some flexiness others feel.

I ride trail and XC and don't do any hucking or any jumps so this fork has performed flawlessly for me.

I would be interested in how much you other folks weigh and what type of riding you do.
