| 1998 Judy SL Question: Upgrade to Mountain Speed Springs | superfrog Jan 10, 2003 9:05 PM | | I am looking to upgrade my 1998 Judy SL(Yellow w/ Black on legs) with Moutain Speed Springs. Do I need to replace the spring in both legs? Or is the spring only for the left leg that contains the current spring and elastomer stack? Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Also, which of the below should I buy..? I am not sure of the difference (See below links).

| Two springs... | næstep Jan 11, 2003 12:22 PM | | I upgraded my '96 JudyXC way back when with a Mountain Speed kit and I installed two springs. I don't recall what came out of each leg, other than the damper cartridge that went back in along with the two new coils. Wouldn't be at all surprised if the '96 kit I used is exactly the same kit you'll need for your '98.

If interested I have a set of Speed Springs that are almost new. They are Red. I don't remember the weight range, but I weigh 170lbs and they worked fine. I'll let you have them cheap if interested. Email me for more info. |
