| anyone have true weights on 03' Z1 SL? Larry? | curious Jan 11, 2003 1:31 PM | | Trying to decide for my new VT. Wait for an American, and deal with the Psylo for now, or cough up for the Z1..opinions, anyone? |
| But of course:) | Ventanarama Jan 11, 2003 6:11 PM | | The Z1SL is 4.5lbs actual. Very nice fork, unreal stiffness. I'd go for that personally. I rode the Maverick fork at Interbike and it's pretty sweet but I'd wait until it's actually out, ie: it would suck to wait and then have it not hit the market until next winter.

| But of course:) | Hammerheadbikes Jan 12, 2003 7:12 AM | | I have two of my riding buds on the fork
Larry's right on about the weight
it took them a while to get them dialed in but they both like it
and both have had 5" Z1s and Fox Vanillas
one of them is toying with the idea of the 6" bomber single crown due out soon, we have some on order..
Larry, that would be one mean fork on your ElChamuco
you should do it and let me know what you think of it :)
that would be a fun setup for doing stupid stuff on !!

| Funny you should mention that..... | Ventanarama Jan 12, 2003 9:48 AM | | Yeah, I already have some on order and that's the plan for one of them. The SuperT was overkill for my needs. With the Z150 I'll only lose an inch of travel compared to the Super but it should climb much better than the Super since it has ETA. Should be a really fun fork.

definitely..
I wouldn't mind having an ElChamuco at all :) |
| It would be a nice match for a Bullit too!... | daveM Jan 12, 2003 7:05 PM | | Hey Larry, do they come with a QR 20 hub? I'm trying to get a 20mm wheel built, I thought I might go with a 20mm GT with the Marz adaptor.
Umm, and do you stock oil seals for the Vanillas? |
| Yeah:).... | Ventanarama Jan 12, 2003 11:25 PM | | the Marzocchi forks don't come with the hub anymore, they still sell the hub seperately and it's a nice one for the price. Yeah, I have a Fox seal kit in stock now, it's been under a year since you bought that fork so those are on the house if it's leaking.

| Cool Larry!... | daveM Jan 13, 2003 7:14 PM | | Great service as always. I'm still down for a Z150, just sold my old Wedge, and I might be buying a QR20 wheel I found.
Give me a buzz when you get the forks in, black is good, heck, I'd take a yellow one at this point :)
I'll give you a heads up when Jim, Rich, and I do another night ride. |
| Cool Larry!... | Hammerheadbikes Jan 14, 2003 3:09 PM | | just got word from Marz, looking at March for the 150 SC
