What are your honest opinions of the 2003 SID TEAM?spinjunkie

I am building a light-weight XC machine that will be used for going uphill and pedaling flats faster than going DH. Has anyone got any decent testing miles on their 03 SID TEAM?

I must admit that the lock-out and the light-weight appeal to me for my intended application. But I have only heard of nothing but problems from all members of the SID family. I haven't really found a fork that I liked out of the bunch that I have tested - FOX Float RLC, Marzocchi X-Fly, Marzocchi Superfly, AMP, Headshock, Manitou Mars.

Maybe I am being too picky....but all of those forks blew-up or had other problems at some point in time. I am just trying to save myself a costly mistake...
I rode/raced mine for 100 miles or so and.....Bud M.

sold it. In my opinion the lock-out was a solution for which there was no problem and it was heavier than my 2000 Sid SL (even if you discount the weight of the lockout.)
