Which one to take: New Marathon 100 02 or used Float RLC 02(2 posts)

Which one to take: New Marathon 100 02 or used Float RLC 02Rodi S.

I do know the feel of the Marathon (and I like it) because I already own the shorter travel version. What about the Fox? Is the 02 damper really that bad that you must upgrade (at which cost?) to the 03 damper rod? What about the maintenance for the Fox: do you really need to buy all those different "fluids"?

Other suspects in my price range are:
Marathon S 03
MX Pro w/ETA 03
Duke SL with U-Turn 03
Black Elite 80/100

What would you pick? It's going to replace a Black Super Air 100/120 on a RM ETS-X because I want it to run mainly in the 100mm setting (as opposed to the 115mm setting right now).

I'm totally happy with the feel of my '02 Fox Float 100RLC and feel no need to upgrade to the '03 internals. Of course, I've never ridden and '03 so perhaps I'd feel differently after riding one.

What about the maintenance for the Fox: do you really need to buy all those different "fluids"?
