2003 Psylo XC Tullio Vs. 2002 Z1 Dropoff QR20+ ? Which one?Twiggy

I reciently bought a 2003 AC2 with a Psylo XC Tullio. I've only gotten to ride the bike once so far, but all my friends are urging me to get rid of the spylo before it starts to cause me problems. I've been offered $350 CDN for it, and a friend of mine will sell me a like new 2002 Z1 Dropoff QR20+ for $300 CDN. Would this be an upgrade or a downgrade from the Psylo XC? Are they similar quality? is the Z1 any more durable? thanks!
Z1 of coursemig

Z1 of course.

If you like psylo then Psylo SL.
Dropoff? No!...daveM

I believe that the dropoff has the orifice damper, which gets VERY stiff with hard, fast hits. Bite the bullet, and get a '02 Z1 FR, with the cartridge damper. Larry @ mtnhighcyclery.com could tell you fer sure about the dropoff.

Psylo's are sh!t. All the internals are plastic, and the seals suck too. I'd sell them and get some descent Marzocchis. I've heard other instances of that happening with the dropoff, so that may not be a good choice either. Go Z1 FR, like daveM suggested.
Z1 all the way.SmooothJazzIsTerrible

I rode a Psylo SL and hated it.

I used the adjustable travel alot the first month, then the novelty wore off and I got used to ride a 125mm fork and adapted.

I disliked the trademark RS clunk sound when the fork compresses.

The fork was flexy and not as stiff as the Z1.

I sold it and got a Z1 Wedge and glad that I did.
