Does anyone make a 7" i2i, 2" stroke shock? --->(7 posts)

Does anyone make a 7" i2i, 2" stroke shock? --->Arek

The length is the important part here, I assume that the stroke would be around 2". And I'd like to avoid going custom way (too expensive) if possible...

Thanks

Not no more and no one else I know does either. Its a odd lenght anyway ,will be harder to resell. even 7.5 is a odd size but they have them with 2" stroke. Maybe check your frame.
i remember someone said they had that size....zedro

Dang whipersnappers! Yeah, I have a Stratos Helix Expert on a '99 FSR. It came with the Mt.Speed 6" travel kit. It has been an exceptional shock. I recently got it serviced by Stratos, and it still works like a charm. This is one of the shortest shocks made to give a true 2" stroke. I also have a brand new Stratos Helix Expert Pro that is 7.25" long with a 2.25" stroke. I sold the bike it was intended for before installing it.

Depending on what kind of application youre after, Cane Creek makes air shocks from about 140-220 mm. 7" is in there some place, and i'll bet they have 2" strokes, too. Just a thought, as i need a shock of that size, too, but for a xc application. Hopefully it exists... Fox makes just about all sizes, too, its just an issue of how to get a hold of one.

those Cane Creek shocks come in 5 mm increments. Forgot to mention that. Come to think of it, for a tougher application, i think Romic makes there regular shock in any length for the same price, and that they sell them in house. Hmm....

Check out Sunny from CC's post about two threads down re: 145mm shock. They make a 177/47, which is really close. The 180/50 is what im going to throw on my Dakar, giving my 120 mm and a better head angle with a 5" fork. Good stuff!
