The biggest change from previous years shocks is the crown--has the 'M' shape like the brake arch and has two holes drilled in the top between each of the stanctions and the steer tube. Also the dropouts/bottom of the legs are beefier than in previous years. |

I'm curious about the stiffness of the crown area... I have 02' MXC and it's creaking like hell, and front to back stiffness isn't so good, it's flexing a bit too much, especially when doing endos...
But yours is new, so I suppose you can't tell me too much about it.
Or just try an endo, and tell me what you think ;-)

But I also wanna try some coil action (have air springs on my MXC), and new crown/stanchions + top caps with preload adj. + springs would cost me too much, I'll spend less if I sell my MXC and buy a new coil MX Comp... Thanks for the idea though, it's a good one. |

Mar 21, 2003 9:32 AM | | I'm running the MX comp on my trials bike, and it is very stiff. I've been doing lots of endos, front wheel pivots and hops, and didn't noticed any flex or creaking. My only complaint about the fork is its weight, but I guess I'll get used to it. |

How long do you have the fork? I have my MXC for 8 months now, and I'm scared of doing pivots lately, 'cause fork feels like it's gonna snap. Bananas.
