Hiya

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about the 03 Marz EXR's. In terms of durability, parts compatibility w / MX series etc. Are they as "noticeably" strong and stiff as the MX's?

Thanks

The EXR's are manufactured by SR Suntour in Taiwan with internals provided by Marzocchi. They are 1lb heavier than the MXR forks but seem to be decent enough. They're a replacement for the old Z5's.

P.S. Don't buy a bike that comes with what's called the "EXR Comp", they have shiny silver stanchions instead of the typical golden brown coloured ones - I don't know what the deal with them is but they don't seem to be an open bath fork like most OEM or AM EXRs and feel strangely like RST's. I've only seen them spec'd on one bike, that bike being the 2003 Norco Charger.
