Upgrade single crown to dual crown(3 posts)

Upgrade single crown to dual crownBlack Brodie

After a weekend of downhilling, I'm considering upgrading from my 5" Z1 QR20 to a dual crown fork. Is it worth it to upgrade to something like a Sherman Slider, which has only 6 inches of travel or should I go for at least 6.5 - 7 inches like Jr T or Boxxer? I ride a Brodie Diablo with 5.5 inches in the rear.

The slider will outperform the boxxer and Jr T, despite having a little less travel.

I agree that the Slider will be better, but also, if you are thinking about putting a dual crown on, you need to make sure that the frame warranty allows for that. Some companies void the frame warranty if a dual crown is placed on there. Also, factor in the type of riding you do, the weight (dual crowns do weigh more) and the cost you are willing to spend.
