RS Psylo lower leg removal.....(2 posts)

RS Psylo lower leg removal.....That's Nacho Cheese
Jul 30, 2003 5:40 PM
I am trying to add new wiper / seals to my Psylo Race and am following RS's instructions for removing the lower legs of my fork. Simply put, they tell you to remove the nut and bolt from the bottom of the fork legs and then bang with a mallet. It then says the legs should simply slide off. I did all that and am trying to remove the legs, but something is preventing them from coming off....do I need to bang harder with the mallet or use some brute force?? Any help is much appreciated!
Bang the Shaft Nut harder.......That's Nacho Cheese

with the mallet really whack the shaft nut once you've loosened it.....that's the nut that houses the rebound adjuster. You should hear the fork pop...you are breaking a pressure seal and oil will most likely begin to leak out. Then they should slip right off
