Mars rebound dampening gone(2 posts)

Mars rebound dampening gonemarylander

My 2002 Mars Elite has lost a lot of rebound dampening. The adjustment knob makes no difference whether set slow or fast. The oil level and oil looked OK. Changed it anyway. No difference. Anybody run into similar TPC issues? I've had TPC forks since 1998 and this is 1st time I've lost rebound dampening.

Check the shim on the rebound piston, it is most likely broken (read snapped). Not uncommon for TPC forks.
