Rear shock setting on 2003 RockHopper FSR(1 post)

Rear shock setting on 2003 RockHopper FSRbaratta930
Aug 2, 2003 11:11 AM
Hi all,

I need some help. I've setup the rear Fox Float R shock on my RH FSR according to the manual and in the curb test it doesn't pogo at all, but when riding on rocky trails (especially when climbing, but also when descending, the rear end tends to pogo over the rocks making a little hard to climb :)

I weigh about 205Lbs (and shrinking :) and am 6" tall. The bike is a large and set to 90mm rear travel.

What are people setting the rear shock to on their RockHoppers and Stumpjumpers (the 2003 RH FSR is supposed to be basically the same frame geometry as the 2002 Stumpjumper). Are you following the recommendations or doing something else?

Thanks for any help ...

Berardino
