Fox TALAS RLC(2 posts)

Fox TALAS RLCCBM

Recently I read in MBA that if you set the TALAS's lockout blowoff threshold to the lowest setting it would act as a Stable Platform fork. Has anyone tried this? If you have, how much small bump performance is lost due to the lockout? Does it actually keep pedaling forces from activating the fork?

Thanks

I read a mag review of the Rocky Mountain ETX (or whatever it's called), and they did the Talas "mod" to match the bike's unique rear suspension.

But I did try it and it does not work that great. Feels like an on-off switch and the small bump compliance, even on the blowoff valve's lowest setting, is not that sweet.

I also have the F100X and it's world's different (better) than the Talas modification the magazine spoke of. Maybe for the RM bike it works but not on my Jamis XLT2.
