Help - Swooshing sound from Fox Forx Vanilla RSAIG

I have just gotten a Fox Forx Vanilla R (used). One my first ride there was a clunking noise from the fork. I checked that it wasn't the headset. After changing the rebound the clunking noise went away but now a swooshing sound appears when the forx is compressed. It sounds like air releasing. Does anyone know what this could be?
