I went for the Z1, and I've no regrets. It replaced a Black Elite that went back for warranty (blown damping circuit), and, while Manitou's service was amazing, I didnt want another fork that needed to go back to the shop for ANY reason. TPC+ is awesome, but I like th Z1's damping a lot more, and the adjustability of the air spring is phenomenol. Good luck.

I went with the sherman firefly over the z1 sl because I thought it felt better. It is very stiff...and oh so plush! The z1 was definitely plush...but it just didn't quite have that coil feel...although it is by far the closest to a coil feel for an air fork that i've ridden anyway...either way no one really has any major complaints with the two forks. I would say ride one if you can, if not choose the one you can get the best deal on or that matches your bike better! ha
