how much maintenance does a fork need(1 post)

how much maintenance does a fork needmolo
Oct 13, 2003 2:54 AM
Hi
While I'm thinking about what fork I'm going to buy, I'd like to know some basic stuff about suspended forks.
I've never had one and so the simpleness of a rigid has really taken over my brain so I'm really anxious about suspended ones. There's a devil in my head that repeats this mantra "that which moves, will brake". I almost have a fear for suspended forks.

Anyway

How much (regular) maintenance do they need?
Do you need to buy new stuff in order to keep it in good shape, in that case; what do you have to buy and is it expensive.
How long does a fork last?

Also, since I'm need to the world of forks, anything else I need to know?
