I was caught in a time crisis while rebuilding the Zoke shock for my son who was on his way to a race. When I called all the major bike shops in the Boston,MA metro area I was suprised that no one had any 7.5 wt oil in stock. Hoping to brew a my own mix I reached into my motorcycle fork oil collection where I found some 10 wt but no 5 wt. I ran to the local every-japanese-motorcycle-made-on-planet-earth-dealership where to my suprise they had OEM BMW fork oil which comes in guess what? Glorious 7.5 wt! A quart for $5! It high quality and works fine. When I called a Marzocchi rep he confessed to me that he too uses the BMW oil.

Golden Spectro 125/150 (7.5w) and is what the fork is filled with right from the factory. It's the same stuff that they put in those $12.00 8 oz. bottles that you get at the LBS that say Marzocchi on the lable. So guess what, they are designed to work with motorcycle fork oil in them!!! I prefer the Golden Spectro myself, but I've also used Silkolene and Maxima fork oils with good results.

fork oil is very easy to come by for marz forks. yes, most motercycle fork oil will work........there are a select few that can ruin your seals, or just wont work properly.

ive been using belray, making my own blends to find the right weight for me. its always worked great, and its much cheaper than buying the disquised stuff in the LBS.

ahhhh....gotta love the ease of marzocchi forks eh?
