Re-installing fork question(3 posts)

Re-installing fork questionAZflightnurse

Is there any special technique to reinstalling a fork? I had to send mine back for for some work and was wondering if I needed to do anything special. It already has the star nut in the crown. Can I just put it in the frame and tighten the stem back on? or is there more to it? Thanks

It looks like a spacer/washer that goes on the bottom of the steerer/top of the crown of the fork.

If so, I'd just make sure that the headset's greased and just install the fork...

Yes I believe it does. It's locked on at the bottom of the steerer. Thanks
