02 Rock Shock Duke XCLow_Rider

I have a 2002 Duke XC, and since new it's had a strange noise that I can best explain as a clunk. It happens if the fork is fully extended and is dropped from say an inch off the ground, or if I cycle the fork it happens as the travel changes direction from compressio to rebound. The fork is regularly serviced, and there seems to be nothing wrong to the eye. I can make it dissapear for a few cycles if I invert the fork, and cycle it a few times, and then when turned the right way up it's o.k for 4-5 cycles. (apart from loosing all compression and rebound dampening!!)Any help would be welcome!

Cheers,
dave

I'm going to start servicing my fork myself, so I'll rip it apart and have a real good look and see if I can find anything.

Cheers,
Dave
